Catch up!

Oh man! I was doing so great at posting. Anyway, here are some pictures of what we have been up to!! This past weekend was 3/21/15. March 21st is World Down syndrome Day. So we did a recap of Curtis throughout the last 5+ years he's blessed us with being in our family.

I am truly blessed to have such amazing little boys in my life. And even more blessed that they get to be big brothers to THIS little peanut.

Ren has been going to the doctor every other week for weight checks. She is so dang tiny. But we are proud to say that she is now a TEENAGER. In pounds that is. This sweet babe now weighs 13.11 lbs. and we are so proud. She is still on the short side for the growth charts but our doctor is very pleased with her weight gains. Curtis was also seen recently for his post op. His ears look wonderful and his throat is completely healed. He doesn't snore anymore and we are thrilled.

Ren also found her toes and loves to hold onto them. She is such a sweet baby. And her new favorite activities are rolling all over, holding onto her polished little piggies, laughing at her dad and brothers and keeping a smile on all of our faces.

Clayton is doing so WELL at school and in therapy. His speech has improved so drastically over the last several months and he tells us new words every day. He loves to spell his name and will do so anytime we ask him.

MARCH

Oh my goodness. Guys. It is already March. How insane is that? Also, how insane is Texas?!?! Our weather has been exceptionally spectacular, going from one extreme to the next. In the last 2 weeks we have gone from gorgeous spring-like weather to snow, sleet, freezi rain and wind gusts like crazy. Since we are stuck in our house i have had to resort to some "creative" ways to entertain ourselves.

We don't have a microwave at our house which is normally alright but we love to indulge in popcorn so we found a recipe and started making our own!!

Our favorites so far are cinnamon sugar, the top smaller bowl. And spicy Cholula chili powder. It's so wonderful and the kids love watching the kernels POP!! Well, the boys do. Ren thinks we are trying to kill her. Poor babe. Speaking of Ren, she had her 4 month check up and a few days ago we rechecked her weight and she got a booster shot. She has been snugly, cuddly, feverish and all around miserable.

Her new favorite seat in the house is her daddy's lap. Joshua loves all of the extra cuddles and Ren loves her vantage point and being able to see everyone while lounging around.

With the weather being so crazy we had to break out some winter pajamas, crank up the heat and have a fashion show.

Clayton was initially upset that we were laughing at him in his cutie pj's. Then he warmed up to the idea...

Curtis loved that we were all having a good time laughing. Silly goose.

All 3 kids in their footie pajamas together.

Ren has completely captured ALL of our hearts and the love I see that her brothers have for her fills me with such joy.

They are fascinated with her. These pictures sum up their feelings quite well. They are so interested in everything Ren does and celebrate every milestone with enthusiasm.

P.s. It snowed and iced so bad on Monday that I fell down all 5 porch stairs and landed on my back/bottom. The best part is my bruise which, for privacy and TMI purposes will not be shared here. And I am so grateful that I chose to walk the stairs by myself. Normally I hold the boys' hands or Ren in her car seat. Hooray that I'm the only one hurt. Both my pride and my body.

P.p.s. Texas is EXTRA stupid because no stores sell salt for ice. *grumble grumble grumble*

February

We have had an interesting month!! Mother Nature decided that Texas needed some snow. We might have become Popsicles overnight. It was so cold, Ren got to break out her long johns. She is so cute and such a joy in our family.

The boys have been adding more jobs to their chore lists. Clayton loves vacuuming and Curtis hates it. Ha. So Curtis is on laundry detail while Clayton now mans our "big boy" vacuum and Curtis will use our little dust buster for tough spot jobs. They are getting so big.

Ren is also growing. She has learned to hold her own bottle, roll over and that all of her fingers make for a great teething toy. Hahaha!! Silly girl.

New Happenings and New Beginnings

We've had a few exciting things happen around here lately!! Ren finally held her head up well enough on her own to get... HER EARS PIERCED!! Hooray!! She was already gorgeous enough as is but, now she looks dressed up all the time! It's so great.

She knows how pretty she looks!! And she was a champ through the whole thing. She only got mad when Joshua was holding her still. Way to go Ren!

I also got a new calling at church! I am the 1st counselor in Young Women's at church. This weekend we are having New Beginnings and I am so excited. Our ward's value is Individual Worth. Lots of fun things are happening around here, and we are so excited for all the new adventures Texas holds. Woohoo!!

I found some older pictures of the boys and I swear all of my babies are clones of their dad. They are so cute. And sassy.
